Formation Thermal Conductivity | Hiring GRTI
GRTI is a professional testing company that can be hired to perform a Formation Thermal Conductivity Test. The following hiring options outline the various ways that GRTI can assist in determining an accurate formation thermal conductivity.
Hiring Option 1
GRTI will contract to provide the complete installation of the test bore and provide a complete analysis of that location. GRTI will enter into a sub-contract with a local drilling contractor to install a vertical test bore with an installed u-bend assembly to a depth that is estimated to represent the actual design depths for that specific project. Depending on the type of drilling process required, the FTC data acquisition may begin immediately upon completion or be postponed for up to one week. After data collection, a final report will be provided which will include a drilling log (obtained from the drilling contractor) which can be used in the future bidding process for that specific project.
The cost for the option will be fixed for the test well installation, FTC test, data analysis, and final report along with any applicable taxes. Additional costs may be added to cover the cost of mobilization to and from the test site location and generator rental when 240 volt, 30 amp (minimum), single phase A/C power is not available. GRTI will provide a written quotation (see Request for Quotation) for this option. In order to begin, this option requires a signed purchase order against the provided quotation.
Hiring Option 2
GRTI will contract to evaluate an existing (or new installation by another source) vertical test bore with a properly installed u-bend assembly. This approach requires the following:
- Others shall determine test bore completed depth.
- A "FTC Test Well Installation Form" (supplied by GRTI) shall be completed and supplied to GRTI prior to data evaluation.
- U-Bend assembly shall be installed and backfilled so that there are NO voids within the entire vertical length of the bore column. The installation shall comply with all state and locals laws governing the installation of vertical bore applications. In the event the bore is NOT completely free of voids, GRTI will not be responsible for inaccurate conclusion of the analysis.
The cost for the option will be fixed for the test, data analysis, and final report along with any applicable taxes. Additional costs may be added to cover the cost of mobilization to and from the test site location and generator rental when 240 volt, 30 amp (minimum), single phase A/C power is not available. GRTI will provide a written quotation (see Request for Quotation) for this option. In order to begin, this option requires a signed purchase order against the provided quotation and a written commitment to provide the "FTC Test Well Installation Form" as referenced above.
Hiring Option 3
GRTI can be contracted to analyze data obtained by other parties that utilize data acquisition systems that have been pre-approved by GRTI. A final report will be provided based on the supplied raw data. This option requires the following:
- Data shall be supplied in an electronic format that is compatible with Microsoft® Excel®.
- A "FTC Test Well Installation Form" (supplied by GRTI) shall be completed and supplied to GRTI prior to data evaluation.
GRTI reserves the right to refuse to provide an analysis of the data for any reason with no expense charged to the customer.
The cost for the option will be fixed for the test, data analysis, and final report along with any applicable taxes. GRTI will provide a written quotation (see Request for Quotation) for this option. In order to begin, this option requires a signed purchase order against the provided quotation and a written commitment to provide the "FTC Test Well Installation Form" as referenced above.
